Created an incentive scheme to reward employees for sales leads. We believed that by rallying Royal Mail's network of over 100,000 frontline staff, the company could benefit from 100,000 possible leads in every corner of the UK, overnight.
Since launch, Home has returned every year to evolve and develop the scheme. The insight we gather from employee feedback means the scheme stays fresh and relevant - and the sales leads keep coming in.
The results
In the first year alone, the scheme generated over 14,000 leads - an increase of 230%. Participation rates have grown too, with a 900% increase. The return on investment is currently running at 100:1 - making the business £250m.
We were delighted when this success was recognised through a 2008 DBA Design Effectiveness Award.
