Strategy and planning days

How strategic are your planning sessions?

In our experience, a few flip charts and a tactical plan doesn’t quite cut it in our ever-challenging communications space. We create bespoke interactive sessions to help you line up your audiences, channels, objectives, stakeholders, narratives, change programmes and challenges (and everything in between). From there, we work with your team to build a robust strategy and tangible plan that will deliver in 2019.

And it’s fun too. Obviously we’d say that because we’re planning geeks, but honestly it is!

“Home have taken the time to develop a real understanding of both our team and our business. Armed with this knowledge, they successfully steer our sessions to ensure that our thinking remains high level and, with their guidance, we are always guaranteed to come away with very clear outputs. I cannot recommend these sessions highly enough and we are already looking forward to planning our approach for 2019 with Home help”

Senior Group Internal Communications Manager, Arcadia

What does the session look like?

We don’t want to give the game away! And bespoke means bespoke. Don’t worry, this is where we really shine. Our strategists want to get the best insight to create the most impactful strategy and plan. We’ve got plenty of tricks up our sleeves to really get your teams thinking differently, and more creatively.

We only need a quick call to understand your planning goals, ideals, and frustrations. We build out a session from there.

How long does it take?

We always recommend a full day session to really make the most of the time away from the office as a team. But a half day can work too.

We like to keep things simple

For us, it’s not about changing everything overnight. Or even at all. Many of our clients are starting annual planning from a really strong place. Then it’s just a case of working together to take your work to the next level.

Sometimes our clients have overarching goals like getting on ‘The Best Places to Work’ list, or making huge leaps in engagement. Others need quick wins. We build on what you have, always with a goal to create a strategy which improves the experience you give your employees.

Who should be involved?

This is really up to you. Of course, we want to see the core team, but we find that involving key stakeholders in strategy and planning (even for half the day) makes a big difference.

We’re happy with small and friendly, or the more the merrier. But as a guide, we find up to about 20 people keeps the interaction level high.

Want to give it a try?

Setting out the right strategy now – collaboratively, with all your team on board – can help you realise your 2019 opportunity. And we’re here to help you achieve that, and so much more, but don’t just take it from us…

“I really value the time we have spent planning for the execution of Northwell’s 2019 engagement strategy and related internal communications activities. We have many key initiatives that require not only a coordinated launch schedule, but more importantly, a lens over all, so that we can insure an integrated approach.”
