This time last year we brought in a haul of nine awards from the GlobalTrend Awards… and we’ve only gone and done it again! This year we’ve been recognised for a series of films that we produced for our client Northwell Health – scooping up a further seven different awards. Looks like we’re going to have to make some more room in our cabinet!

Six Northwell Health films came out on top this year; one on the theme of innovation that tells the story of the future of health care through the eyes of a patient and five others that showcased the inspirational winners of the organisation’s annual President’s Awards.

Innovation film: Health care in 2040

Northwell Health came to us and asked us to create a film that showcased the vision of how they see the future of health care. Of course, we said yes! They wanted a film that would inspire their team members and connect them with their community.

So, we undertook some extensive research to capture the thoughts of the physicians throughout the business. This work was the basis of the story we decided to tell.

We told our story through the eyes of a patient experiencing control over their own care. It’s a future we all want and our story was about how innovation, and technological advances, can improve patient experience through personalisation. The technology doesn’t replace care, it simply enhances it.

The film won:

• The Triumph award for Best Directing (once again big thanks goes out to our friend Matt Harris Freeth for his valuable work)
• The Ascent award in the Medical category
• And two Quest awards in the Cinematography (thanks to Director of Photography Sarah Edwards) and Nonprofit categories

President’s Awards

The other three awards were for the series of President’s Awards films we made for Northwell Health. These five films showed the winners of Nurse of the Year, Physician of the Year, Leader of the Year, Team of the Year and the Patient/Customer Experience award.

In these films, we wanted to really capture the passion of this amazing and inspirational set of team members.

We wanted to tell the real story. Not just the story from the awards nomination. We wanted to really see the person, and the experiences that have defined them. We wanted our audience to connect emotionally with the films. This series of films was our opportunity to bring the Northwell Health culture to life.

• Two Ascent awards in the Biography and Medical categories
• A Quest award in the Nonprofit category

So, another amazing year for our films. This year the award roll call was also of a high standard with a few of the top Triumph awards going to Microsoft!
