NORTHWELL HEALTH

Employee Value Proposition (EVP)

Fortune 100 Best Companies to work for
Does an EVP that people actually believe in have real-life benefits?
Northwell Health is the largest private healthcare provider in New York State, with over 85,000 employees. They came to us after a series of acquisitions, they had grown rapidly. And they knew that now was the time to focus on their people. They needed a game-changing Employee Value Proposition designed to unify their people, shift culture and build the future.
Enter Home. We started by talking to their people. Over 2,000 of them. And we heard everything, from car park challenges to the importance of a strong bladder. It was clear that this was a group of incredible people. They were having tough days, but the good days outweighed the bad ones. We developed an EVP that was all about creating more good days.
The EVP was launched at their leadership rally at Madison Square Gardens and right from the start the reaction was overwhelming. Their people got it. They related to it. And they believed in it. We equipped 4,000 leaders and 400 culture champions with a six-week tangible plan to embed the EVP locally. We knew we’d created an honest proposition, but we couldn’t have predicted how quickly it captured peoples imaginations.
But does an EVP that people actually believe in have real-life benefits? Yes.
