After a death in the family, a dream began with a promise to build something spectacular. A place of joy, reflection and wellbeing. The first of its kind, the Wave brings the majestic force of the sea and surfing inland to people that haven’t had the opportunity or confidence to experience it before.

Waves of change

Our challenge was to capture the harmony between nature and leading technology, to embody the freedom of surfing in a manmade environment. The Wave is a lifestyle brand that is aspirational, inclusive and accessible for everyone.

The brand strikes the balance between the natural and manmade. This harmony is expressed by the free flow of the brush stroke emulating the organic shape of a wave, the motion of a surfer and the meandering movement of people on location. This balance is apparent throughout, with a strong focus visually on real people, joy and wellbeing. The result is a credible, iconic, desirable and warm brand.

Surfs up!

We created brand guidelines which included tone of voice and photography do’s and don’ts to protect their brand. We also supplied assets so The Wave team could go out and create themselves. This was a real passion project for us, and we think it shows…
