Creating a joyful experience for remote employees

Christmas is a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find new ways to spread some festive joy. When social distancing got in the way of the normal Christmas party, Aztec Group asked for some help to design a truly special remote experience centred around giving, connection and recognition.

Step forward Naughty and Nice…

Our vibrant Aztec elves, Naughty and Nice, helped bring Christmas to life with bundles of personality, charm and a little bit of cheekiness. The characters became the heroes to a whole host of themed activities, gifts, digital assets and surprises.

Who’s on the list?

During the build-up, beautifully crafted Christmas hampers full of treats, mini DIY decorations and Zoom props arrived on employees’ doorsteps. The unexpected packages included a letter from Santa and schedule of festive, virtual events that ran through December to get everyone involved – everything from wine tasting (which Naughty took care of!) to gingerbread baking was on the agenda.

Everyone loves giving at Christmas, and Aztec were no exception. Employee recognition cards meant colleagues could share thanks with one another for their hard work in 2020 and put them firmly on the nice list.

This really was the Christmas that kept on giving! And showed that 2020 wasn’t all Zoom and gloom.
